This unique pelican figure, carved from beautiful dark green serpentine stone, is a remarkable work of art attributed to the Inuit culture of the Pacific Northwest of the United States. With its large, expressive beak, prominent round eyes and subdued wings at the sides, this figurine exudes the characteristic style and mystique of Inuit art. The work stands firmly on two feet and measures 15.5x6x27.5 cm , a perfect size to be both a refined eye-catcher and an intimate art object.

The inscription on the side of the pelican's left foot shows the name NBBOMBA , presumably the artist, along with the number 1334 , which seems to refer to an Inuit disk number. Although research into the artist has been inconclusive, this reinforces the mystical and cultural value of the piece. The figure, made between circa 1950 and 1970, carries the soul and traditions of a timeless culture.

The material, serpentine stone, gives the pelican a deep dark green color and a natural shine, which further emphasizes the elegance and refinement of the artwork. This unique statue is in excellent condition and is a rare example of Inuit craftsmanship that perfectly reflects the harmony between nature and art.

Add an authentic piece of North American culture to your collection – an Inuit pelican figurine that embodies history, art and craftsmanship. A must-have for any collector or lover of Inuit art!
